Guitar & Piano Playing Tips

Romance is traditionally played fingerstyle — thumb on bass strings (E, A, D), index and middle on treble strings. The repeated arpeggiated pattern (p–i–m–a) is the core technique. Focus on keeping your thumb steady on the root note while your fingers pluck the melody. On guitar, practice slowly at 40 BPM and gradually increase tempo. This piece is also excellent for piano students learning arpeggiated left-hand patterns.
